Thank you so much, Virginia!!

Supplies Needed:

Paint Shop Pro

You will need my zip file for the gold gradient available HERE. Place this in your gradient folder. This is optional. You may use any other gradient or solid color for the outline of the dragonfly.

No outside filters or plug-ins are needed

Tutorial Skill Level: Intermediate

**You will need your layer palette and material palette open. If they are not, go to View | Palettes and put a check by Layers and Materials.

Refer to finished example when needed.

1.Open a new image: 600 x 500; transparent background with a 150 resolution (or your desired resolution). Place the gold gradient in your gradient folder if you're using it.

2. We're starting with the wings. Set your Foreground and Stroke properties to the Gold_qc gradient, with the settings below; Background and Fill properties are transparent.

That's're done! Add a background, your name for a tag or add it as an embellishment for a scrapbook page. Just a note...if you save your dragonfly as a jpg, you'll get a box that pops up to say that it will not save the alpha channel. We don't need the alpha channel anymore so click YES to continue. If you save your image as a psp file, you will still retain the alpha selection.
